I made this page for Active Peace activists. First, I’m going to introduce of HWPL’s Chairman Man Hee Lee.
Short Biography
As a Korean War Veteran, he has not forgotten the suffering he and his fellow soldiers endured in their youth during the War. To commemorate the 65th anniversary of the independence of Korea, Mr. Lee proclaimed the Declaration of Unification of Korea before 33 government representatives of South Korea. Through this declaration, Mr. Lee stressed the desire of the Korean people towards unification and the duty of leaders to ensure the peaceful lives of their citizens. During the 25th Anniversary of the Fall of Communism in Eastern Europe, while on his peace tour to Romania, Chairman Lee delivered a speech asking for cooperation from the political leaders of Eastern Europe for the peaceful approach to the unification of the Korean peninsula. This has resulted in receiving the support of heads of state for the peaceful unification of the two Koreas.

One of the Memorable Works he has done.
He is considered to be a Peace advocate with regard to religious conflicts and war, human rights, and youth and women empowerment. He has done many works through these organizations including ending a 40-year religious conflict in Mindanao, Philippines and has the support of many world leaders.
The organization, HWPL, only began in 2013, but it is moving at a fast pace a s a world-wide movement and its peace summits have more than 200,000 attendees each year. HWPL is a non-governmental, non-profit organization(NGO) in association with the United Nations Department of Public Information (UN DPI).
